Blog Topic 2: Travel

Many of us talked about loving to travel in our first blog posts.  I love to travel too, so I'm offering one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite authors.  Please blog about this quote.  Share from your life experience; feel free to agree or disagree.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”
 —Mark Twain in The Innocents Abroad, 1857

* fatal to= if a is fatal to b, then a kills b
*need it sorely on these accounts= really need it for these reasons

I went to Japan twice, Cambodia once, and Kazakhstan once. And Uzbekistan. Most of them (except Japan) was not a just a travel. Actually it was medical mission trips. So all I remember from those trips is hardwork. Carrying a heavybags(with full of medicines) and all kinds of things that do not need any professioncy.  Trip to Japan was nice though. Anyway. I like trip, but I didn't went to trip.
Because it was too expensive, and also it takes a lot of time, which I can't make. But I agree with with the people likes to trip all over the world. Because, it makes you refreshing, and sometimes it can clear your mind when you have a pressure with something. Sometimes I regret about myself that I didn't spent time on trip. It can also get a lot of experience during the trip.

I want to write more about trip and stuffs. But I have very small amount of experience about trip.
So, this is everything that what I can tell you about it. And I hope I can have some trip on US. Maybe on vacation I guess. Because my school attendance is important, and I take it very serious. :)

Thanks for reading. And I'll see you in the class.

Hi,
     My name is Se jun. I'm from korea and this is my 3rd, maybe 4th time to being here in United States of America. So I have "Some" experience about living in the America, but it was long long time ago, so actually this is my first time to be here as a student, so for now everything is weird, but I believe that I can adapt to circumstances. Especially, in American way of life, and school life, and dorm life. I actually do like my dorm life. All of my roommates are nice, kind, and also funny. I learn a lots of things through them. And I believe that, my dorm life will be very useful to improve my English skills. Especially speaking and hearing, and maybe I can learn some of the american culture or at least something. I guess.

     I like to do things with my computer. like listening to the music, or watching movies and some American TV shows, such as 'Supernatural', 'Burn notice', 'NCIS', 'CSI', 'How I met your mother', 'Bigbang Theory' and etc. Believe it or not, I learned most of my English from TV shows. It's kind of funny. But true. My hobbies are watching movies, TV shows, Playing computer games through internet with my online friends all over the world. I think it's awesome. Because, in these days, we can make some friends through internet. It is very easy, especially we both have a same interest. It will makes much easier to make friends. So i recommand you all to makes some friends using internet. And I also love watching UFC or other kinds of sports too. I am a shy person. So, I usually can't talk easily to someone in the first or maybe few more days after the first meeting. But I'm getting better. So please don't be afraid to talk to me. I'm not gonna bite you. I am totally harmless.

     I came to USA for study, because there are a lots of oppertunities to step up. We also have a good education system is my country. But, as you know, USA have a better education system than us. So that's the primary reason that I'm in this place. And plus, I wanted to breathe the "Air of Freedom".

     Well, thanks for reading my first post. I hope you all enjoyed my writing. And see you in the next class.
