Blog Topic 6: Thanksgiving
Tell us about your experience of Thanksgiving
in America. What did you see, hear, and taste? What were you expecting? Do
you have a similar holiday in your culture? Do you still have questions about
Thanksgiving?
Well. I stayed at home all day, so I don't have special or Thanksgiving spiritual kind of experience. However, I ate turkey in my dorm, because they made it for residents on dinner. I think this is my only experience about Thanksgiving. I read, heard a lot of Thanksgiving during the week before Thanksgiving in class, so I am fine. Furthermore, I might have couple or more times to feel the Thanksgiving, so I'm not worry about it. To be honest, all I expect from Thanksgiving was break; whole week relaxing was my only expect and goal, so I'm happy now :)
I hope everyone enjoys the Thanksgiving spirit this weekend, and happy turkey's day :)

There are many ways to roast a turkey based on people's favor, and author offers three options, which are fast crisp-skinned bird, moist and not overcooked, served with roasted vegetables; a leisurely braised bird with veggies; or the classic stand-up roast with Thanksgiving spirit. If you don't care about how it looks, and also you want to make it quick, flattened bird is the best choice. If you like to eat braise turkey with vegetables, you might lower your expectation. It is not easy and also takes some work to make. For the last, if you really want to feel the Thanksgiving spirit, choose the old tradition way. However, classic roast turkey doesn't taste good as other 2 options.

Blog Topic 5: Halloween
This class is blogging very well. I really enjoy reading your thoughts!
I'm curious about your reactions to and experience of Halloween in California. Think back on the last week and write a blog about Halloween. What did you experience? What stood out? Did anything surprise you or scare you?
I had very boring halloween. I went to the halloween dance party last saturday, but I don't like loud music, and also I don't like most of parties, especially with alcohol. There was no alcohol, which was nice for me. Anyway, I don't fit on those kinds of parties. So, it was my only schedule for the halloween, and I was dissapointed about it. However, the food was nice. I really enjoyed it. And also watching other people's costume was funny though. Maybe in next halloween, I hope that I can participate, and enjoy more then this one. But it was fun watching people wears varieties of halloween costumes and hang around with friends. Enjoying life is the part that I have to learn from them. It wasn't shocking, but still new experience for me :)
